BBYO (B'nai B'rith Youth Organization)
Grades 9-12 (8th grade recruitment events begin in the spring)
BBYO is not your typical youth group. It is a teen movement bringing together thousands of Jewish teens from all over the globe, from all types of Jewish backgrounds and with all types of interests. Now, more than ever, BBYO offers unique opportunities for teens to connect with one another, serve their communities, navigate the college admissions process and travel the world, providing each participant with a network of lifelong friends, a perspective which adds value and meaning to life and a shared commitment to strengthening the Jewish future. BBYO is anything and everything you want it to be. Take advantage of unbelievable opportunities to socialize, lead your peers, volunteer in your community, join a sports league, learn more about your Jewish heritage, navigate the college admissions process and travel the world.
In Richmond, we have 1 AZA chapter (for boys) and 2 BBG chapters (for girls); the chapters often hold programs and events together. Most weekly eventsare held at the Weinstein JCC on Sunday afternoons.
