Hours of Operation for Passover
Monday, March 29 – Weinstein JCC Closes at 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 30 – Weinstein JCC Closed all day
Wednesday, March 31 – Gumenick Athletic Wing opens at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 4 – Weinstein JCC closes at 6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 5 – Weinstein JCC closed all day
Tuesday, April 6 – Gumenick Athletic Wing opens at 1:30 p.m.

Passover Café
Thursday, April 1, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
The Passover Café will open on Thursday, April 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the Israel November Auditorium.  Passover meals will be available for dine-in or take-out and are kosher for Passover.  $15 for adult and $8 per child (under 12).  Passover Menu: vegetable soup or chicken “noodle” soup, toss salad, meat loaf or salmon, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, brownies, homemade lemonade and iced tea. Kid’s option – hot dogs

Passover Take Home Shabbat Dinner
Also available, a take-out Shabbat dinner that can be picked up between 7:00-9:00 pm on Thursday, April 1st and Friday, April 2nd from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Dinner for 4 is $55.  Shabbat Menu: chicken “noodle” soup, whole oven-roasted herbed chicken, roasted potatoes, candied carrots & brownies.

The Case for Israel - Democracy's Outpost

Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz presents a vigorous case for Israel – for its right to exist, to protect its citizens from terrorism, and to defend its borders from hostile enemies.  He engages leading political, judicial and academic leaders from Israel and North America in objective and intelligent disclosure on the critical challenges facing Israel and the West. 

Weinstein JCC’s Jewish Family Theatre presents Beau Jest
Jewish Family Theatre will present Beau Jest as its final show of the 2009-2010 Season. Previous successes this year include Fiddler on the Roof and Golda's Balcony. A cast of six talented actors tell the story of Sarah, a nice Jewish girl who hires an actor to portray her nice not-Jewish boyfriend. Her family comes to visit and then fun begins! This delightful family comedy runs April 14 -25, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. All performances are held in the Israel November Auditorium in the Sara Belle November Theater at the Weinstein JCC, and tickets are $8 – $15. Indoor Youth Soccer Leaugue
Season: April 18 – May 23 – Sundays 12:45 – 6:30 p.m.
Ages 5-13

This league is designed with skill development and fun as the focus. Each participant receives a soccer shirt and trophy. Practice prior to each game will be facilitated by volunteer coaches. All games played on Sunday at the Weinstein JCC. Sign up early! Volunteers needed for coaching. Yom Ha'Atzmaut
Monday, April 19, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Come celebrate Israeli 62nd birthday at the Weinstein JCC featuring Washington DC’s well-loved Jewish, Israeli music band Lox & Vodka.  Music is for all ages so come prepared to clap, sing and learn a couple of Israeli dances.

The concert is free and open to the community and is funded by the Richmond Council for Jewish Education with a generous grant from the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond and hosted by the Weinstein JCC.

Camp Ganim Informational Session
Wednesday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Lily Ocasio, Director of Camp Ganim, will conduct an informational meeting for parents interested in sending their children ages 2 – 5 to Camp Ganim this summer.  Come with any questions you want answered! 

Jr. Maccabi Ice Cream Social and Information Session
Sunday, April 25, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Calling all Jewish athletes between the ages of 5 and 11 (as of July 31, 2010)!  Children will participate in mini-Boot Camp activities while parents attend an informational session about Jr. Maccabi.  Ice cream social will follow.  Please email jrmaccabi@gmail.com to register by Sunday, April 18th.  Need Babysitting for younger siblings? Undiscovered Photographer's Exhibit

The Weinstein JCC is dedicated to offering programs and classes that enrich the lives of its participants. We are committed to working with individuals with special needs in a caring and supportive environment. We offer individuals opportunities to enhance self-esteem and improve social skills while developing meaningful relationships. Israeli Scouts Friendship Caravan & Camp Hilbert Israeli Staff
