Phyllis Meyerhoff
Photographs of Pesach
Sara D. November Art Gallery March 18 – April 9

Opening reception with the photographer
Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Phyllis will have Personalized Haggadahs available for purchase.
The Weinstein JCC Gift Shop will be open during the reception.
Come take a look at our great selection of Passover items.

Artist’s Statement:
I see the world in color and am captivated by its interaction with
form and light. The sensual, evocative nature of the elements
that surround me, inspire and motivate me daily. The freedom to
evaluate and arrange the ambiguities before me and to transform
the ordinary to the extraordinary, provide me with the excitement
of making a photograph. When insight combines with design,
when emotion joins form - an art expression is born
”.

The Sara D. November Art Gallery will be showing photographs from Phyllis Meyerhoff’s original Haggadah. The Kosher Haggadah is a consolidation of texts taken from different Haggadot. The text is in both English and Hebrew and is illustrated with Phyllis’s original photographs. Phyllis graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Spanish, then from VCU with an MFA in Photography and Design. She has taught elementary school, photography at St. Christopher’s High School, and art at The Montessori School for 7 years. Phyllis has participated in numerous local shows and exhibits.
