Hillel’s mission is to actively seek and engage uninvolved Jewish students on their own terms and to provide them with opportunities to participate in Jewish activities that are meaningful and appealing to them.   Students are empowered to take responsibility for their Jewish identity, whether they wish to participate in a community service project, express themselves artistically, participate in a social event, and engage in informal Jewish learning or attend religious services.  Any student may participate in Hillel, no membership is required. Hillel is committed to a pluralistic vision of Judaism that embraces all movements. Hillel of Richmond serves the Jewish students, staff and faculty on the campuses of University of Richmond (UR), T.C. Williams School of Law at UR, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the Medical College of Virginia at VCU.  Hillel of Richmond provides social, educational, cultural and religious opportunities for the Jewish students on these campuses. It ensures a Jewish presence on the campus as well. Hillel supports the State of Israel within secure boundaries and provides programs and education to ensure that support.
